Overview

This standard defines the fire conditions for which it is reasonable to expect trains to continue to run in a controlled manner and defines requirements which assure this "running capability". This standard identifies fire conditions for which it is not necessary to define running capability requirements because in this case there is no potential for serious injury or a threat to life. This amendment consists of modifications in clause 6.2.2.1 "Transformers and inductances". The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 351.1 "Fahrzeuge" ("Rolling stock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
