Short description
The guideline deals with the planning of the management of distress calls for the organisational and technical handling of distress calls initiated by persons trapped in lifts. The guideline is addressed to operators, building owners, architects, technical planners, testing organisations, assembly and maintenance service providers and persons or organisations in charge of relieving persons from being trapped in lifts. The guideline applies to the evaluation and comprehensive consideration of the management of distress calls for new and existing lifts. Based on the requirements imposed on the operator by the German Ordinance on Safe Operation (BetrSichV) and TRBS 3121 guidance is given for stating understandable and transparent technical and organisational requirements, thus pointing out possible processes for the management of distress calls.
