VDI/BV-BS 6206 Blatt 3:2019-02

This standard describes the structural fire protection for buildings constructed with reusable pre-assembled room units in steel frame construction. The room unit consists of building products and types. The standard advances on the basic principles of VDI/BV-BS 6206 Part 1 and the recommendations for transport and construction from VDI/BV-BS 6206 Part 2. The size and type of use of the buildings vary. The cubature of the buildings ranges from a room unit to buildings consisting of many room units, which can be arranged along several floors. The use also varies from standard buildings to special types of buildings. The resulting requirements for fire protection are very different. All room units used must correspond to the building permit requirements for the building or the building parts and be adjusted if necessary. This standard does not consider organisational, plant engineering and operational fire protection. Likewise, protection of assets is not covered by this standard. Target groups of this directive are planners, architects, engineers, builders, operators, authorities, manufacturers, component manufacturers, contractors and service providers active in the field of mobile buildings, as well as specialist associations.
