Short description
The series of standards VDI 6000 describes the determination of the demand for sanitary objects and the equipment and design of sanitary rooms depending on the use and gives advice on the design. This standard deals with sanitary rooms in childcare and education facilities. As part of the ongoing revision of the entire series of standards VDI 6000, the systematics of the individual standards were changed in favour of a clearer and non-repetitive structure. The planning, dimensioning and equipment of sanitary rooms in kindergartens, day-care centres and schools must be tailored to the needs of children and youths. The standard is intended to offer guidance, independent of any regulations and legislative documents, for planning, execution and operation.
