Short description
This guideline provides handling instructions for planning, construction, acceptance and operation of plants for the hygienically safe processing and for the aseptic filling of microbiologically sensitive beverages and milk mixed drinks without the addition of preservatives and cold sterilization agents as well as without measures for germ inactivation as e.g. hot-filling or tunnel pasteurisation after locking the package. The guideline is valid for aseptic filling systems and its peripheries which fill and lock commercial steril drinks and milk mixing drinks free of recontamination into packagings pre-inactivated from germs or packagings which have been produced germ-free in the plant. Furthermore, the guideline is valid for all assigned equipment and aggregates as well as for the plant surrounding area. Aseptic filling plants of the pharmaceutical industry are not treated since the conceptualities and requirements differ from those of the food and beverage industry.
