Short description
The guideline concerns the emission of air pollutants from slaughterhouses (slaughtering facilities) for cattle, pigs, poultry, or other livestock, whose products are intended for human consumption, from the delivery of the stock to the treatment and storage of by-products and waste. Further, the odorous substances emitted from the waste water are treated as well. The guideline describes the measures taken to reduce emissions and presents graphical information regarding the minimum separation between residential areasand the nearest source of (foulsmelling) emissions in the slaughterhouse grounds.
