The document deals with the safe disposal and utilization of animal carcases, either wholly or partially and with the processing of animal products (raw material) in animal carcase disposal plants in accordance both with the animal carcase disposal law (TierKBG) and the animal carcase disposal plant regulations (TierKBAV). The animal carcase disposal plants are allocated to legally defined catchment areas. Safe disposal eithin the meanining of the animal carcase disposal law embraces delivery, collection, transport, warehousing, burial, incineration, treatment and utilization of animal carcases, parts of carcases and animal products. The document also covers the erection and operation of plants for (separate) processing of blood, bones, feathers and bristles, meat processors' own utilization plants and collecting depots.
