This International Technical Report gives information on the taxonomy of Salmonella spp. and it gives guidance on serotyping of Salmonella serovars, based on the White-Kauffmann-Le Minor scheme. It describes guidance on the procedure for serotyping Salmonella serovars and is applicable to the serotyping of pure cultures of Salmonella spp. The committee responsible for this Technical Report is NA 057-01-06 AA "Mikrobiologische Lebensmitteluntersuchung einschließlich Schnellverfahren" ("Microbiological food inspection including ready-to-use") at DIN.
