Every vessel shall be equipped with an anchoring device, also called anchoring equipment. In addition to the anchor, anchor winch and chain stopper, anchor equipment also includes a lashing device - holding device to be able to fix the anchor and anchor chain. VG 84535-1 documents magnetizable anchor lashings used to lash the hoisted anchor on watercraft with stud link anchor chains according to VG 84510 (stud link anchor chains, grade GL-K3 - assembly, mechanical properties). The anchor lashings apply to magnetizable stud link anchor chains of grade GL-K3 which are preferably used on watercraft of the German Navy. A compilation of dimensions, masses and parts list (anchor lashing with lashing chain) is documented in the standard. Further requirements, such as on the material, the construction and the tests (such as stress test, inspection document) are also listed. A pictorial application example shows an anchor lashing on-board a ship.
