The International Standard ISO 5555 specifies methods of sampling crude or processed animal and vegetable fats and oils, and whether liquid or solid. It also describes the apparatus used for sampling. The standard does not apply to milk fats. DIN EN ISO 5555/A1 is the first amendment of the existing DIN EN ISO 5555. This amendment includes an introduction and the added 6.6.5 "Sampling of flexi-tanks". The amendment ISO 5555:2001/A1:2014 has been prepared by ISO/TC 34/SC 11 "Animal and vegetable fats and oils" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom). For the amendment of the European Standard, the responsible body is CEN/TC 307 "Oilseeds, vegetable and animal fats and oils and their by-products - Methods of sampling and analysis" (secretariat: AFNOR, France). On the national level, the amendment is attended by NA 057-05-05 AA "Gemeinschaftsausschuss von DIN und DGF für die Analytik von Fetten, Ölen, Fettprodukten, verwandten Stoffen und Rohstoffen (GA Fett)" ("Joint committee of DIN and DGF for the analysis of fats, oils and products thereof, related and primary products") of the German Society for Fat Science (DGF) and DIN Standards Committee Food and Agricultural Products (NAL).
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 5555:2002-04 .
