DIN EN ISO 22007-2 specifies a method for the determination of the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity, and hence the specific heat capacity per unit volume, of plastics. The experimental arrangement can be designed to match different specimen sizes. Measurements can be made in gaseous and vacuum environments at a range of temperatures and pressures. This method is suitable for testing homogeneous and isotropic materials, as well as anisotropic materials with a uniaxial structure. This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 22007-2:2012-04 as follows: a) the values of thermal conductivity given in the scope have been changed; b) the sensitivity coefficient has been changed (3.3); c) the thickness range for thin-film specimens has been changed (6.4); d) low thermally conducting specimens have been specified (8.5); e) precision and bias have been adapted (10.2); f) the Bibliography has been extended; g) normative references have been updated and the standard has been editorially revised. This document has been prepared by ISO/TC 61 "Plastics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 054-01-03 AA "Physikalische, rheologische und analytische Prüfungen" ("Physical, rheological and analytical tests") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
