This standard specifies small fire test methods which allow for comparison of the fire behaviour of different materials used in electrical products. Test specimens made of such materials are exposed to a small-flame ignition source of 50 W nominal power in both horizontal and vertical positions. The test procedures determine either the linear burning rate or the duration of afterburning or afterglow and are designed for laboratory use. This new edition has been revised in terms of scope, terminology, the test procedures themselves and their significance. This Corrigendum amends Table 1 "Thicknesses tolerances" as well as the test conditions for "Test method B - Vertical burning test". The committee responsible is K 133 "Prüfverfahren und Beurteilung der Brandgefahr von elektronischen Produkten und Isolierstoffen" ("Fire hazard testing of electronic products and insulating material") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
