DIN EN 60384-1:2010-05

This part of IEC 60384 is the generic specification and is applicable to fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment. It establishes standard terms, inspection procedures and test methods for use in sectional and detail specifications of electronic components for quality assessment or any other purpose. This standard is intended to replace DIN EN 60384-1 (VDE 0565-1):2002-02. With respect to DIN EN 60384-1 (VDE 0565-1):2002-02, the following changes have been made: Edition 4 of IEC 60384-1 has been updated, completely editorially revised and adapted to the latest ISO/IEC Directives. In the course of harmonization between EN and IEC essential parts of EN 130000 have been incorporated in this edition 4. Now Annex Q contains the contents of Chapter 3 "Quality assessment methods". The text of Annex Q has been reformulated for all generic specifications of IEC/TC 40. At DIN and VDE the responsible Committee is K 611 "Kondensatoren" ("Condensers") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies).
