Corrigendum 1 to DIN EN 60335-2-109 (VDE 0700-109):2011-03 refers to subclause 27.1. The text of the subclause is modified as follows: 27.1 Supplement: If the water is not separated from the active parts by double insulation, the inlet and outlet pipes of class I appliances shall - include a metal sieve which is reliably connected with the protective-conductor terminal; or - be of metal and permanently and reliably be connected with the protective-conductor terminal. The other accessible metallic parts of the appliance which come into contact with water shall also be permanently and reliably connected with the protective-conductor terminal. It is recommended to refer to this corrigendum in the standard concerned. The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 511.11 "Motorische Geräte" ("Motor-operated appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
