DIN EN 55016-2-3:2011-03

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55016-2-3:2010+A1:2010 and is identical to International Standard IEC/CISPR 16-2-3:2010 and its Amendment 1:2010. It specifies requirements for the method of measurement for high-frequency radiated disturbances (disturbance field strengths) in the frequency range 1 GHz to 18 GHz. The EMC product committees and users of measurements of electromagnetic disturbances are recommended to observe the corresponding specifications of standard series IEC/CISPR 16 or EN 55016 for measuring equipment, measuring methods as well as measurement uncertainty for their specifications for measurement of high-frequency disturbances (radio disturbances). With respect to the previous edition, the electrical field strength has been added as a measurement parameter. Furthermore, 10 m has been specified as the reference measurement distance, whereas the measurement distances 3 m or 30 m are regarded as alternative measurement distances. The distance between the boundary of the specimen and the reference point of the antenna is taken as the basis. Furthermore, the FFT-based measuring receiver has been incorporated as a further measuring instrument. In addition, the normative references have been updated, information about sources for describing aspects of the measurement uncertainty has been recorded and the standard has been restructured. Finally, so-called regulatory statements ("Bei Meinungsverschiedenheiten..." ("In case of dispute...") and "besitzt Vorrang" ("...takes precedence")) have been deleted. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 767.4 "Geräte und Verfahren zur Messung von elektromagnetischen Aussendungen" ("Apparatus and methods for measurement of electromagnetic transmissions") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
