This national standard applies in Germany to: - the planning and erection of overhead lines exceeding AC 1 kV; - plastic-sheathed conductors; - all conductors with telecommunications components; and - the attachment of telecommunications equipment to support points. The most important technical changes compared to DIN EN 50341-3-4 (VDE 0210-3):2011-01 and DIN EN 50423-3-4 (VDE 0210-12):2005-05 are: - The standards have been fundamentally revised and merged, taking into account the current editions of the Eurocodes as well as new design methods and further developments; - In this merger of EN 50341 and EN 50423, the respective Parts 2 are to be deleted and Parts 3 form the new part EN 50341-2, the old Parts 3 will be withdrawn later; - With DIN EN 50341-1 (VDE 0210-1), this standard applies in Germany to all overhead lines exceeding AC 1 kV. The responsible committee is DKE/K 421 "Freileitungen" ("Overhead lines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
