The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical connectors, circular, coupled by threaded ring, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C continuous or 200 °C continuous, and 260 °C peak. The new edition of Part 002 of the standards series specifies the performance data and contact arrangements of electrical circular connectors with screw coupling. It contains a listing of the product standards and the designs that are available for selection in this series. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 2997-002:2012-05 as follows: a) in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3, the connector class SF has been newly included; b) in Table 4, the maximum outside diameter value of the leads for contact size 22 has been changed; c) in Table 5, design type D has been omitted from the connectors and additional classes have been added to the remaining ones; d) in Figure 27, one contact size has been changed to 16. The EN 2997 series of standards has been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Aerospace Standards Committee. AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
