The standards of the EN 2267 series describe the requirements for single and/or multi-core electrical cables for general use in the electrical wiring systems of aircraft at operating temperatures between -55 °C and 260 °C. The standard DIN EN 2267-010 specifies the properties of lightweight, UV laser printable, electrical cables of the DR family for use in aircraft AC electrical systems with 115 V (phase to neutral) or 200 V (phase to phase) AC at operating temperatures between -65 °C and 260 °C. These cables are demonstrated to be arc resistant in sizes AWG 26 to 14 (115/200 Vac). In addition, these cables may be suitable for use up to 230/400 Vac in pressurised zones only when installed to take account of possible short circuit effects. It shall also be possible to provide these cables with a suitable, qualified labeling. These labels shall meet the requirements of EN 3838. The standard differs from DIN EN 2267-010:2014-03 as follows: a) the restriction to certain sizes has been removed for use of these cables at 230/400 V; b) in Table 2 information on the test voltage of 230/400 V has been added for the tests according to EN 3475-603, EN 3475-604 and EN 3475-605. The EN 2267 series of standards has been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
