This standard EN 203-2-1:2013 specifies the specific requirements for the safety related construction and operating characteristics, the rational use of energy and the marking of atmospheric commercial gas heated open burners and non-enclosed covered burners. It also states the methods for testing those characteristics. This standard shall be applied in conjunction with EN 203-1 "Gas heated catering equipment - Part 1: General safety rules". This supplementary Part 2 complements or modifies the relevant clauses of EN 203-1. In this revision of EN 203-2-1:2005, a pan and a ring with an internal diameter of 600 mm for the sampling of combustion products have been added to the test conditions. In addition, the test method for combustion measurement under normal conditions has been revised.
