This standard specifies safety requirements for floating landing stages and floating systems for passenger transport and their equipment. Floating landing stages are used to provide safe access for persons to inland waterway vessels despite sometimes considerable water level fluctuations. They have to compensate for water level fluctuations by means of appropriate construction methods and anchoring variants, depending on the bank conditions and the distance to the navigation channel. In addition, the ship's landing thrust of the relatively massive ship compared to the landing stage shall be absorbed by the landing stage. The present version is an adaptation to current requirements with regard to the material, size and task of floating landing stages. In addition, the scope of application has been extended to include requirements for floating structures. For this purpose, the verification of the floating stability based on the metacentric height has been included, so that small stages and large floating structures can be calculated equally. Furthermore, requirements for floats made of filled buoyancy elements have been included. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 15 "Inland navigation vessels", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 132-07-01 AA "FA Binnenschifffahrt, Wasserfahrzeuge, Hafenanlagen (BWH) and NA 132-07 FB" (Inland navigation, inland vessels, port facilities and Steering Committee of Section Inland Navigation Vessels) of DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT).
