DIN EN 13739-1:2012-05

This type C standard contains environmentally relevant requirements. This European Standard specifies requirements for the environmental protection for design and construction of mounted, trailed and self-propelled full width solid fertilizer distributors and solid fertilizer broadcasters used in agriculture and horticulture. It also gives the requirements for the minimum content of the instruction handbook. This standard does not apply to machines which are: combined grain and fertilizer drills; or equipment for distributing granulated pesticides; or solid fertilizer line-distributors (which are dealt with in EN 13740-1:2003 and in EN 13740-2:2003). Personal safety aspects have not been considered in this standard; they are dealt with in EN 14017:2005+A2:2009. It contains the German version of EN 13739-1:2011 which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 144 "Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry" at the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). During the preparation the national interests were represented by Working Committee NA 060-16-02 "Bodenbearbeitung, Saat, Pflanzenpflege und Pflanzenschutz" ("Soil cultivation, seeds, plant care and plant protection") of the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of the interested parties were involved in the preparation of this standard. The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the bibliography have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 13739-1:2003: a) update of the normative references.
