DIN EN 13611:2016-09

This European Standard specifies the general safety, design, construction, and performance requirements and testing of safety, control or regulating devices (hereafter referred to as controls) for burners and appliances burning one or more gaseous fuels or liquid fuels. This European Standard is a basic standard read in conjunction with the applicable product standard of the specific application. This applies to the product standards for the following controls: - automatic vent valves (prEN 16304); - automatic shut-off valves (EN 161); - pressure regulators (EN 88-1 and -2); - pressure sensing devices (EN 1854); - automatic burner control systems (EN 298); - flame supervision devices (EN 257); - gas/air ratio controls (EN 12067-2); - manual taps (EN 1106); - multifunctional controls (EN 126); - combustion product sensing devices (prEN 16340); - valve proving systems (prEN 1643), etcetera. Based on the basic requirements of DIN EN 13611, the series of product standards is supplemented according to the needs of applications for burners and fuel devices. The European standard DIN EN 13611 may also be applied to control devices for which no applicable product standard is yet available.
