The responsible German body involved in its preparation is Working Committee NA 062-06-32 AA "Anforderungen an flüssige Kraftstoffe" ("Requirements for liquid fuels") at the Standardization Committee for Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products (FAM) at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
