DIN 4107-2:2011-03

This standard applies to extension measurements which have been carried out within the framework of investigations in soil and rock in accordance with DIN 4020, DIN EN 1997-1 and DIN EN 1997-2 and on and in buildings with extensometers and convergence tapes. It shall be applied in connection with DIN 4107-1. The purposes and fields of application are - supervision of stability of geotechnical objects before, during and after construction (for example, slopes, embankments, excavation enclosures, foundations, dam plants, landfills, tunnels); - determination of soil and rock displacements (for example, for comparison with predicted values within the framework of the observational method according to DIN 1054 and DIN EN 1997-1, and for verification of geotechnical calculation assumptions); derivation of characteristic values (for example, for load tests, test tunnels).
