This standard has been prepared by Subcommittee NA 087-00-15-01 UA "Grundlagen und Fertigungstechnologien" ("Terms and definitions for the reliable state of railway vehicles") of Working Committee NA 087-00-15 AA "Zustand der Eisenbahnfahrzeuge" ("State of railway vehicles") at the DIN Standards Committee Railway (FSF) in coordination with other working committees of FSF and of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) and comprises safety-related specifications. The standards of the complete works "State of railway vehicles" represent a uniform and system-compatible normative document which specifies the limit state for the safe operation and processes to maintain the target state of standard gauge railway vehicles. All documents of the complete works are listed in DIN 27200, Supplement 1. DIN 27201 "State of railway vehicles - Basic principles and production technology" consists of: - Part 1: Procedures for preparation and modification of maintenance programmes - Part 2: Proof of maintenance - Part 3: Test run - Part 4: Treatment of railway vehicles following hazardous incidents - Part 5: Assessment parameters and requirements of the distribution of wheel forces and vertical wheelset forces of railway vehicles - Procedure for checking and settings (title modified) - Part 6: Welding - Part 7: Non-destructive testing - Part 8: Adhesive bonding (the draft E DIN 27201-8 shall be integrated into the project DIN 6701-4.) - Part 9: Measuring - Part 10: Thermal spraying - Part 11: Procedure for preparation of fault tolerance concept - Part 12: Mandatory supervision equipment permanently installed in railway vehicles - Part 13: Maintenance of fibre composite components (in preparation). Wear, failures and other damage influence the operational safety of railway vehicles. Depending on the wear characteristics, application parameters and the current state of the railway vehicles and the cost effectiveness, a maintenance system shall be specified by which it is ensured that the necessary technical target state is maintained and the necessary and proved measuring and test equipment as well as measurement equipment and test methods are used. The general field of application of this document is specified in DIN 27200:2011-11, Clause 1 and 3.1. This standard applies to the special features of thermal spraying during the maintenance of railway vehicles. This standard is also applicable to thermal spraying for the new production of wheelset axles. It specifies the requirements - for the maintenance of all railway vehicles and rolling stock parts by thermal spraying, - for the workshops maintaining railway vehicles by thermal spraying, - for the molybdenum coating of the seats of wheelset axles. This standard applies to the following spraying procedures according to DIN EN 657: - wire flame spraying; - arc spraying; - powder flame spraying; - powder flame spraying and simultaneous fusing of sprayed deposits; - powder flame spraying with subsequent fusing of sprayed deposits. On a case-by-case basis, the use of other spraying processes shall be regulated by the purchaser/the ECM. Compared with DIN 27201-10:2004-02, the following modifications have been made: a) adjustment of the foreword; b) modification of the scope; c) update of the series of standards; d) update of the normative references; e) Clause Abbreviations and symbols newly incorporated; f) Clause 5 Requirements for personnel completely revised; g) Clauses 8 and 9 completely revised; h) molybdenum coating of the seats of wheelset axles newly incorporated; i) diameter of the test specimen modified to be ∅ 36,3 mm; j) modification of Figures A.1 and A.2; k) Annex C test protocol newly incorporated as a template; l) general editorial revisions.
This document replaces DIN 27201-10:2005-02 .
