This document applies to the clearance of rubble that is activated or contaminated and originates from activities within the meaning of Part 2 of the German Radiation Protection Ordinance and is intended for use, recycling, disposal or transfer to third parties as non-radioactive material. This clearance procedure can also be applied to solid bulk materials whose clearance is based exclusively on mass-related clearance criteria. This document also applies to the clearance of contaminated or activated buildings of nuclear facilities and equipment (hereinafter collectively referred to as "nuclear facilities") for which a subsequent demolition or subsequent use outside of a nuclear permit is planned. This clearance procedure can also be applied to non-mineral building structures, especially those with large surfaces. These include, for example, metallic structures that are firmly attached to the building structure. The committee responsible for this document is NA 062-07-46 AA "Reststofffragen" ("Questions concerning residues") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
