Overview

This standard specifies dimensions and designations for round and wireline threads for percussive drilling technology of large dimensions in mining that are not contained in the ISO standard 10208. During percussive drilling the transfer of the impact energy of the hammer takes place for a thread connection normally by way of the faces of the screwed parts. The size of the contact surfaces shall correspond with the impact energies to be transferred and the supporting thread flanks shall transfer the adjacent torque such that the specific contact pressure does not exceed the available material performance characteristics of the components.
