This standard applies to indicating liquid-filled and gas- and vapour-pressure thermometers with elastic measurement element according to DIN EN 13190 with a maximum of two control switches for electrical limit contacting. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 152-04-01 AA "Mechanische Druck- und Temperaturmessgeräte" ("Mechanical gauges for pressure and temperature") at DIN. With respect to DIN 16196:1991-12 the normative references have been updated and in the German version the term "Magnetsprungkontakt" has been changed to "Magnetspringkontakt". Furthermore, the document has been adapted to the currently valid design rules. The definitions of terms have also been adapted.
This document replaces DIN 16196:2013-11 .
