This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Committee NA 132-05-03 AA "Kennzeichnungen" ("Marking"). This supplement contains illustrations and information on the selection of safety signs, prohibition signs, warning signs, mandatory signs, rescue signs for escape routes/emergency exits, additional signs and combination signs contained in VG 81226-2, which are used on watercraft and floating equipment of the German Navy. However, this supplement does not contain any additional specifications. This supplement is a product standard for the field of markings. This supplement replaces VG 81226-2 Supplement 1:2011-12.
