In the context of this standard, networked I4.0 systems represent production systems from the manufacturing and process industry that are characterised by the interaction of many different I4.0 components. In order to test networked I4.0 systems, cross-domain cooperation between different companies and company departments is required. The standard considers minimum requirements for the digital capture of planning information in distributed test processes for networked I4.0 systems and presents an information model matching the methodology from VDI/VDE 4004 Part 1. The content of this standard is aimed at operators as well as providers of I4.0 systems.
