Short description
The series of standards VDI/VDE 3695 serves as a support for engineering organizations (EO) in their technical, organizational and economic environment. On the basis of their classification according to a list of criteria, measures can be determined and selected to help the targeted development of the EO. The series of standards is intended to support organizations in assessing their own current situation, give advice on what target statuses might be desirable under the given constraints and conditions of the organization, points out possible ways (suitable or necessary measures) towards the desired target statuses, explains the causal dependencies between measures and the necessary prerequisites that make these measures work out, and demonstrates which costs, risks and chances are linked to introducing a measure. This standard focuses on the processes that are used in the engineering organisation. It applies to engineering organisations (EO) that design, build and/or commission automated machines or plants.
