Short description
This guideline describes an experimental method for determining the measurement uncertainty of task-specific contour measurements using standards/calibrated workpieces. Definitions are given of requirements such as operating conditions and similarity conditions. The principle of uncertainty assessment using standards/calibrated workpieces is described and also the procedures for determining the measurement uncertainty relating to specific measurement tasks. In addition the differences in reverification testing of measurement uncertainty and the intermediate testing of measurement uncertainty are explained. A example is provided which shows clearly how the guideline is applied. The tables associated with the guideline are enclosed with the guideline as Excel files on a data storage medium.
