Short description
The guideline offers instructions and recommendations for the measurement and testing of hobs. Standardised measurement procedures and defined analysis of their results are described in detail. The guideline discusses multi-stage hobs, profile modifications (e.g. protuberance), tolerance, adjustments and analytical methods, and also the measuring instrumentation and sampling systems available today. Current optical measurement methods and transducers are also considered. Furthermore, during revision of the guideline VDI/VDE 2606, the discussion of involute profiles has been supplemented by considering other possible hob profiles.
