Short description
The motivation to build up this paper was to give the user groups an opportunity to standardize the data content to be exchanged between machines and MES, thereby reducing the manual work to define the data to be exchanged. Data content that is not exchanged between MES and machine control and system control, is not mentioned in this guideline. It focuses exclusively on data that is exchanged between machine and system control to the MES or from the MES to the machine. The primary scope of this guideline is the discrete manufacturing.
