Short description

This standard serves as a guideline for the total optimization process of energy transformation, distribution and use. The so-called "physical optimum" (abbreviated PhO) as ideal reference process is defined as a tool for evaluation. The advantage is the comparison of real processes with the PhO. Therefore, it is excluded that a new reference point has to be determined due to later technical development. Using adequate tools for evaluation and improvement of processes potentials can be detected by means of characteristics.
