In addition to VDI 4066 Part 1 and Part 4, the standard provides information on analytical process control with specific relevance for the filling of microbiologically sensitive beverages and dairy products. The application of the standard thus supports hygienically safe processing and the aseptic filling of microbiologically sensitive beverages and milk mixed drinks without the addition of preservatives and cold sterilisation agents as well as without measures for germ inactivation as e.g. hot-filling or tunnel pasteurisation after locking the package.
