Short description
For questions concerning short-term phenomena and processes with respect to air quality, the current evaporation is needed or methods that provide evaporation data for mean values between 10 min and 60 min. Average values over longer periods of time are mostly used for climatological studies. As the procedures build on one another, this standard gives an as complete overview as possible and draws attention to possible limitations. Since the direct measurement of evaporation is complicated, several approximation formulas are used, where the evaporation of other sizes is derived. This standard addresses municipalities, state offices (air, water, waste, ecology), environmental protection officers, labor inspectorates, state environmental offices, city and landscape planners and designers, airport companies, weather services, meteorological university institutes and consultants.
