Short description
The knowledge of the sound propagation in workrooms is required for the determination of noise immission at work stations and for the rating of these rooms. The guideline shortly describes the used notions and the physical fundamentals. The spatial wound decay curve is defined as essential characteristic quantity for the acoustical description and assessment of workrooms. The curve gives information about the sound pressure level which can be measured along a path it a single omnidirectional radiated sound source is used. It is the link between emision and immission. The properties of the given rooms are shown by the spatial sound decay curve. The guideline is based on experiences which have been gathered in workrooms, offices and auditories.
