Short description
Part-specific mechanisation is used for the automated transfer of blanks and sheet metal parts within the press or press line from the blanking stack to the unloading conveyor belt. Mechanisation elements are the link between the press automation system and the sheet metal part. Presented is the two-axis transfer operation at conventional vacuum transfer presses and the three-axis transfer operation at large multi-station transfer presses. Grippers and vacuum cups for part transfer and in-die part lifters are described in detail.
