Short description
Functional analysis is one of the most important, but often underestimated, methods of value analysis. The analysis of the functions of value analysis objects (products, processes, services) is understood as function analysis in the sense of value analysis. The objects are analysed according to their effects, purposes and concepts. They are broken down into their various components, elements, aspects, etc. Those are abstracted, divided, arranged and determined with respect to their different characteristics and attributes. The central terms of the function analysis are derived from the specific tasks that this method has to fulfil within the framework of value analysis projects. The standard provides a practise-oriented guideline with examples and instructions for the use and performance of functional analysis in value analysis projects.
