Short description
Hot-dip zinc galvanizing is a process, at which construction parts from steel are dipped into a zinc melt and provided with a zinc coating. The products are protected durably against corrosion with these zinc coatings. This guideline is applicable to plants in which iron and steel products are protected against corrosion by a hot-dip zinc galvanizing process. The said products are e. g. coils, sheets and plates, pipes and tubes, wires, steel crash barriers, poles, steel structures or small components. Reference is made to the specific laws, regulations and provisions, administrative or otherwise, applicable to the construction and operation of the facilities in question. All volumes referred to in this guideline are based on the standard state (273 K, 1013 mbar) minus the water vapour content. A special note is made of any exceptions.
