Short description
The maximum immission values (MI) for arsenic listed are designed to protect livestock and foods derived from them. They are derived from long-term experiments to determine dose-timeresponse relationships in domestic animals. Consequently immission values for arsenic can be determined only for those animals for which experimental data is available. Under standard conditions of feeding and husbandry, livestock which is kept outside periodically or throughout the year is particularly at risk from arsenic exposure. This guideline applies in particular to all people involved directly and indirectly with the domestic animals listed in this document and the food products derived from them.
