Short description
The guideline series VDI 2100 provides descriptions of methods for selective air pollution measurements due to organic compounds using gas chromatographic methods. See guideline VDI 4300 especially for the measurement strategy for determining indoor air pollution. The present guideline deals with the basic principles of gas chromatographic determination of these substances; the following parts will describe example applications of proven measurement methods, specific volatility ranges being covered in each case. Gas chromatographic methods are also used to measure gaseous emissions. However, when the same analytical measurement principle is used, differences arise in application, in the matrix, in the concentration range to be covered, in the sampling methodology etc. Therefore, see also guideline VDI 2457 Part 1 for the use of gas chromatographic methods.
