About this DIN SPEC

This DIN SPEC provides decision guidance for the specification of LCD screens at visual display workstations according to DIN EN ISO 9241-307. It is intended to be used by persons responsible for procuring visual displays (such as procurement operators, companies’ safety committees, occupational safety and health professionals).

The document defines four different requirement profiles describing a variety of environmental conditions, tasks and visual display criteria. Once the requirement profile is selected, the visual display requirements can be read off from the table provided in the document.

The DIN SPEC also gives an overview of, and a compilation of definitions from, the ISO 9241 series.
