Overview

The aim of this DIN SPEC is to provide companies with help for the setup of an overall value added chain and configurable producer-distributor-interface. Within the framework of the preparation of this DIN SPEC, the necessary Data and Process Reference Model for later transfer into IT systems has been developed. Furthermore, extended access to internet technologies shall be enabled for medium-sized companies of machinery and plant engineering. Practical implementation of the DIN SPEC creates a standardized coordination in the sales and procurement processes along the value chain and simultaneously reduces its efforts. This DIN Specification is the product of the research project "Wandlungsfähige Produktionssysteme durch integrierte IT-Strukturen und dezentrale Produktionsplanung und - regelung WinD (Förderkennzeichen: 02PR2160)" which has been prepared within the hightech strategy 2020 by research offensive "Standortsicherung durch Wandlungsfähige Produktionssysteme" (sponsored by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) and managed by Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA)).
