This DIN SPEC describes personal protective devices used in the field of fire fighting and for other users as portable protective devices for use in external networks (230 V/16 A and 400 V/16 A). These personal protective devices are not intended for use on generators according to DIN 14685 or DIN 14686 and DIN 14687. This DIN SPEC according to the pre-standardization procedure has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-02-02 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
