This Technical Specification sets out the requirements for the establishment, implementation and maintenance of Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) to assist in the control of food safety hazards in agricultural food production. This Technical Specification applies to all organizations, regardless of size or complexity, which produce food and/or intermediate products. This Technical Specification is not designed or intended for use in other parts and/or for other activities within the food supply chain. This DIN SPEC contains the German translation of the International Technical Specification ISO/TS 22002-3:2011, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 34 "Food products", Subcommittee SC 17 "Management systems for food safety". The responsible national standardization committee is NA 057-02-02 AA "Lebensmittelsicherheit - Management-Systeme" ("Food safety management systems") at DIN Standards Committee Food and Agricultural Products (NAL).
