During the change of aerosol particle concentration by anisokinetic sampling and during the separation of aerosol particles in the sampling lines, the aerodynamic diameter of the aerosol particles plays an essential role. For estimation of the depositional losses, it is therefore important to know the range of the aerodynamic diameters of aerosol particles with radioactivity and the activity size distribution. This supplement provides additional information regarding the activity size distribution which shall support the application of DIN ISO 2889. The responsible committee is DKE/GUK 967.2 "Aktivitätsmessgeräte für den Strahlenschutz" ("Activity meters for radiation protection") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE, Joint Committee with the Radiology Standards Committee (NAR).
