Overview

This Technical Report describes how to construct a three-digit code, representing a shorthand string combining the nominal general colour rendering index and the nominal correlated colour temperature. At its meeting in May 2016, the subcommittee DKE/UK 521.1 "Electric lamps" of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE (www.dke.de) decided to publish this IEC Technical Report, IEC/TR 62732, as a DIN SPEC, as the ZVEI information leaflet from 2007 on the CRI code will no longer be updated. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 521.1 "Elektrische Lampen" ("Electric lamps") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
