Overview

In this supplement to DIN EN ISO 13299 several advanced statistical analysis methods for the evaluation of profile tests are presented on the basis of case studies. These methods are not derived here in their details, but rather their basic ideas are demonstrated. Those who wish to apply such methods themselves should obtain details from the special literature or consult a statistician. This supplement has been published as a replacement for Supplement 1 to the series of standards DIN 10967 "Sensory analysis - Investigation of profiles", which has been replaced by DIN EN ISO 13299. Since the adopted EN ISO standard does not contain any comparable examples for statistical evaluation, the responsible mirror committee proposed retaining the supplement and simply issuing it under the new designation DIN EN ISO 13299 Supplement 1.
